Good quality exotic spices make great hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, or compile a few of them for that amazing chef in your life. Star Anise is fragrant, beautiful and not always easy to find.

Saffron is another harder to find spice and worth its weight in gold. I love how these come packaged – like little crack viles for the cooking addict.

I’m going to kick-start a new category here, as I think some entire sites are noteworthy for terrific gifts.

First out is P.O.S.H. Chicago – this is an awesome site full of vintage finds and one of a kind pieces.

This is stuff you’re not going to find all over town, or all over the internet for that matter.

I featured some nifty Mexican Yo-Yo’s before, but they offer a ton more awesome ideas to dig through.

Uncovered is a book of portraits and personal statements from over 80 brave women, who posed bare-breasted for the project in public locations across New York City.

Men may find this sensual, women will find it empowering and everyone will be interested in looking through it if you leave it on your coffee table.
